This is the place to read about the enjoyment of winemaking. We make our own wine at home and enjoy the fruits of our labours. We also buy wine and compare ours to the store bought ones. This forum will cover many aspects of winemaking and also wine buying and food paring. Please come back often for updates.

It's Time to make Wine
Well February is almost upon us and that means it's time to make wine. Spagnols our local wine making supplier brings in new batches of wine kits for us to drool over. If you don't go to Spagnols directly you can check your local wine making shop which will carry some of the new kits as well. A general rule of thumb is the greater amount of juice the better the wine. So if you have a wine kit with only 9 liters of juice compared to a kit with 23 liters of juice you'll easily guess which one will have more "body" and ageing properties. The low volume kits do taste good and if you only need a simple general purpose wine they fit the bill.
