This is the place to read about the enjoyment of winemaking. We make our own wine at home and enjoy the fruits of our labours. We also buy wine and compare ours to the store bought ones. This forum will cover many aspects of winemaking and also wine buying and food paring. Please come back often for updates.

Our Fine Wines
Shown here are several of our fine homemade wines. We have a Merlot which came from a premium wine kit and was our first homemade wine. The Merlot was made in May 2010 and is ageing nicely. We just need to exercise self-control from consuming it before it is perfectly aged. Since making the Merlot we have made a great Bourgeron Rouge and a White Verdicchio. Both since have been consumed and were very tasty. We noticed that the Verdicchio after 4 months wasn't as great as it tasted 2 months old. The Bourgeron Rouge was a little green tasting after a month but developed great taste after 4 months. We could have made more of this one! Yesterday we bottled a Bordailles Blanc and a Bergamis rouge. These 2 wines will be used at my Inlaw's 50th wedding anniversay in July.
